Barry Abramson, PE

Founding Principal

Barry has spent the past 40 years improving the energy efficiency, environmental impact, and economic performance of buildings. He has provided energy and sustainability consulting for many government and private sector organizations throughout the country. Barry joined Servidyne in 1981 and has been Principal of Servidyne, LLC since 2014. He leads Servidyne’s partnership with ENERGY STAR® and has been involved in the program since its inception. He is a former Chair of the USGBC’s LEED Energy and Atmosphere Technical Advisory Group and serves on the ASHRAE committee that wrote the Standard for Commercial Building Energy Audits. He was Principal Investigator for an ASHRAE research project on HVAC equipment service life, with results published in the ASHRAE Handbook and cited as a primary source throughout the building industry. Barry has delivered numerous webinars on HVAC and water system building readiness and energy efficiency, attended by several thousand real estate industry professionals. Barry graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a degree in Energy and Environmental Engineering from Stanford University. He is a Registered Professional Engineer, LEED AP O+M, and ASHRAE Building Energy Assessment Professional.

Jim Gieselman, PE

Principal

Jim has spent most of his 45-plus year career in the HVAC space concentrating on energy efficiency. Jim first joined Servidyne in 2006 and returned as Principal of Servidyne, LLC in 2019 after a 5-year stint as principal with Emeritus Consulting LLC. Previously he managed the operation of Servidyne’s engineering group, providing energy and sustainability consulting services for commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities. He has served as the corporate energy consultant to The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, advising their hotel properties throughout North America in the areas of energy efficiency and HVAC infrastructure. He was also instrumental in enhancing the functionality of fault detection / diagnostics software. He began his career with The Trane Company where he rose to the level of Manager, Industrial Sales and Application Engineering. Jim holds a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and a Master of Business Administration from The Robinson School of Business at Georgia State University. He is a registered Professional Engineer, a member of ASHRAE, and an ASHRAE certified Building Energy Assessment Professional (BEAP). Jim is also an instructor at Chattahoochee Technical College where he teaches an advanced HVAC course for BOMA Atlanta.

Pamela Moua, PE, LEED AP O+M

Director of operations

Pam manages the Servidyne’s approach to sustainability analyses and LEED certification projects. She joined Servidyne in 2008 and holds two Bachelor of Science degrees from Georgia Tech, in both Architecture and Mechanical Engineering. She is a Registered Professional Engineer in Georgia and LEED Accredited Professional specializing in Operations and Maintenance (LEED AP O+M). Pam is a member of both ASHRAE and the USGBC. She has served as a member of the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED Advisory Committee and is the Electronic Communications Chair for the ASHRAE Atlanta Chapter.

Jaiko Celka, WELL AP, LEED AP O+M, Fitwel Ambassador

Director of Sustainability

Jaiko provides sustainability and wellness consulting services to clients in the existing commercial and institutional building sector, including LEED, WELL, and Fitwel. She is a WELL Accredited Professional and a member of both the U.S. Green Building Council and the Georgia Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council’s Emerging Professionals. Jaiko joined Servidyne in 2020 after graduating from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and a Certificate in Sustainability.

Annis McCollum

Engineering Assistant

Annis joined Servidyne in 1989 as Executive Assistant to the founder, Milton Bevington. Over her career at Servidyne, promoting energy efficiency and improved performance of buildings has been at the heart of every assignment. Annis’ involvement at Servidyne has spanned departments; her roles have focused on working with leadership at all levels, as well as fellow employees, to provide support and assistance with their respective assignments. She is currently in the role of Engineering Assistant, working with the company Principals and Engineers to manage accounting responsibilities and to provide support for ENERGY STAR and LEED projects.

Amy Sciacca

Engineering Assistant

Amy joined the Servidyne team in 2022 as Engineering Assistant, assisting the company Principals and Engineers in managing accounting responsibilities and support for ENERGY STAR and LEED projects.  Amy’s previous experience includes 13 years as a student mission coordinator with the North American Mission Board, 6 years with Project Humanity as an international travel coordinator and 10 years with HomeRiver Group as Maintenance Manager and Property Manager.

Todd Knapek

Senior RCx Engineer

Todd is a building controls and commissioning SME, Master Systems Integrator, certified Niagara developer, and ex-Navy nuclear mechanic. Todd utilizes his expertise to bridge the gap between the engineering expertise of the Servidyne team and the built environment of its customers.  He joined the team in 2023, after a previous stint with Servidyne as a Commissioning Agent.  His prior experience also includes roles as a full-stack software developer, product owner / manager, optimization expert, Chief Engineer, and mechanic.

Eric McManimon, EIT

Associate Engineer

Eric is a mechanical engineer and provides energy and sustainability consulting services, including ASHRAE energy audits, HVAC analysis, and ENERGY STAR® Certifications and benchmarking. He is certified through the Building Performance Institute as a Multifamily Building Analyst. Eric joined Servidyne in 2023 after serving as a Senior Project Manager.

Joyce Karanouh-Schuler

Associate Engineer

Joyce contributes to the energy and sustainability consulting services provided by Servidyne. They execute a multitude of energy focused functions, including utility audits, sustainability reports, and energy assessments. Joyce joined Servidyne in 2023 after graduating from Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a minor in Middle Eastern and North African Studies.

Anna Justice, LEED AP O+M

Sustainability Project Manager

Anna provides LEED and other sustainability consulting services to clients in the existing commercial and institutional building sector. She is a LEED Accredited Professional and a member of both the U.S. Green Building Council. She performs a variety of technical analyses and assists LEED recertification efforts and utility data management projects focused on energy and water benchmarking. Anna joined Servidyne in 2022 after graduating from Furman University with a Bachelor of Science in Sustainability Science.

Jessica Sanchez

Project Manager

Jessica provides utility data benchmarking and ENERGY STAR consulting services. She ensures buildings are in compliance with Building Performance Standards and local regulations. Jessica joined Servidyne in 2024.

Lung-Sing Wong, PE

Principal (Retired)

Lung-Sing specializes in investigative and analytical engineering services, performing energy analyses, and engineering troubleshooting in existing buildings. He joined Servidyne in 2004 and has been Principal of Servidyne, LLC since 2014. With 38 years in the field, he is a sought-after expert in energy simulation and modeling. His experience with energy survey and analysis projects includes military bases, government complexes, health care centers, laboratory facilities, college campuses, and public school systems. He has developed in-house energy analysis spreadsheets including energy savings calculations for complex HVAC system and energy project implementation cost estimates. He is an expert in the use of energy simulation tools, including DOE-2.1, eQUEST, HAP, System Analyzer and Trane Trace. Lung-Sing holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech. He is a Registered Professional Engineer and member of ASHRAE.

Jim Poulos, PE

Principal (Retired)

Jim is a nationally recognized expert on building energy efficiency and system optimization with over 35 years’ experience performing energy analyses and modeling, design services and construction supervision, commissioning, retro-commissioning, and troubleshooting in both new construction and existing buildings. Jim first joined Servidyne in 1988 and was Principal of Servidyne, LLC from 2014 to 2018. Jim holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Architecture degrees from Georgia Tech and a Master of Business Administration from the Goizueta School of Business at Emory University. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in several states, a LEED® Accredited Professional, and an ASHRAE certified Building Energy Modeling Professional. Jim is a long-time member of ASHRAE and is Past-Chair of the Technical Committee for Owning and Operating Costs and Past-Vice-Chair of the Project Guideline Committee that developed the ASHRAE Guideline for Existing Building Commissioning.
