EPA recognizes Servidyne as Partner of the Year for 8th time

ATLANTA – March 1, 2010 – SERVIDYNE, INC. (NASDAQ – SERV), an energy efficiency, demand response and real estate company, announced today that it has been awarded the 2010 ENERGY STAR Sustained Excellence Award by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in recognition of the Company’s continued leadership in protecting the environment through energy efficiency. This is the eighth time Servidyne has been honored as an ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year, and the fourth time the Company has received the prestigious Sustained Excellence Award, unprecedented achievements for a third party service and product provider.

The ENERGY STAR Sustained Excellence Award is given annually to a select group of organizations that have exhibited an outstanding long-term commitment to energy efficiency. These winners have reduced greenhouse gas emissions by setting and achieving aggressive goals, employing innovative approaches, and showing others what can be achieved through energy efficiency. These awards recognize ongoing leadership across the ENERGY STAR program including energy-efficient products, services, and buildings in the commercial, industrial and public sectors.

“Servidyne is extremely proud to be selected for these high distinctions from the more than 17,000 organizations that participate annually in the ENERGY STAR program,” notes Alan R. Abrams, Servidyne’s Chairman, President and CEO. “To be so honored by the EPA once again is a wonderful public recognition of our ongoing commitment to help our customers cut their buildings’ utility costs and shrink their carbon footprints.”

Barry Abramson, Servidyne’s Senior Vice President, credits the Company’s employees as well as its customers for the award. “Achieving this distinction is a result of a lot of hard work and dedication. It is a team effort and testament to how much we all care about the quality of our work. Our customers have made a long term commitment to improving and maintaining the energy efficiency of their facilities, and rely on our team of employee professionals to help them identify and implement the most cost-effective and sustainable solutions.”

Last year alone, Americans with the help of ENERGY STAR saved $17 billion on their energy bills and reduced greenhouse gas emissions that were equivalent to removing 30 million vehicles from the roads.

“EPA is recognizing Servidyne with our highest ENERGY STAR award – the 2010 Sustained Excellence Award,” said Gina McCarthy, EPA Assistant Administrator for Air and Radiation. “Servidyne’s continued leadership and commitment to energy efficiency is a testament to what we can accomplish to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and protect our global environment.”
