ENERGY STAR® provides an energy performance rating on a scale of 1 to 100, with 100 being the most energy efficient and 1 being the least. The score represents a percentile ranking compared to the overall national building stock. The ENERGY STAR® Certification is awarded to buildings that score 75 or above, indicating they are in the top 25 percent of buildings across the nation.
